Due to the chemicals used in its operations, an industrial client noted the presence of residual PAHs in sediments and surface water at the outlet of its property.
In order to reduce PAH concentrations, Savaria Experts-Conseils specified the planting of aquatic plant species in ditches near the outlet to phytoremediate the sediments and surface water. Tests were conducted on the plants to determine their PAH absorption level. Periodic surface water testing is conducted to monitor changes in PAH concentrations and confirm the effectiveness of the treatment.
